Originally known as The French Culinary Institute, the ICC has two campuses, one is New York City and the other in Silicon Valley, California. This cooking academy has an excellent culinary arts curriculum with a great reputation, and has small cooking class sizes with individual workstations. ICC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology and is flexible with its students, and also offers career support to its students.
The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) has campuses in Hyde Park, New York, Napa Valley, California, San Antonio, Texas and Singapore. The CIA is the oldest culinary school in America, offering quality cooking classes where you can earn certificates, Associate degree, and Bachelor degrees programs. To complete the Bachelor degree program you will first need to complete the Associate program first.
With campuses across the US, the Art Institute is one of the most widespread culinary arts institutes. The Art Institute has a broad curriculum, however, not all campuses offer the same programs and cooking classes. Each campus also has a career services department.
Le Cordon Blue is well known for teaching classic French culinary techniques, it has campuses across the US, however it also provide online culinary classes. Le Cordon Blue offers a wide-range of programs and cooking classes and has a broad culinary arts curriculum, offering both Bachelors and Associates degrees, as well as diplomas and certificate programs.
Johnson & Wales University is a full university, with campuses in Providence, Rhode Island, North Miami, Florida, Denver, Colorado, and Charlotte, North Carolina. The University has a wide selection of culinary arts programs including Associate and Bachelor degree cooking classes to choose from, and also boasts a successful job placement program to support culinary arts students and graduates in finding a culinary career.
Located in Vermont, the New England Culinary Institute offers a wide selection of certificate and degree culinary arts programs, with internships and career services available. Cooking class sizes are kept small, with a small teacher to student ratio, and are taught by professional chefs.
The Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is the largest culinary arts school in New York City, and offers a wide range of diplomas, with a focus on fast-paced and intensive curriculum. The cooking school has also developed a reputation for it’s non-diploma cooking classes, offered by it recreational education department.
L’Academie de Cuisine is culinary arts and pastry school located in Gaithersburg, Maryland, offering both Culinary Arts or Pastry Arts programs, which are made up of 1,620 hours of training. Training is based both in the classroom and in the kitchen with cooking lessons, the program also includes a placement within a fine-dining restaurant.
Named after the famous Auguste Escoffier, the culinary arts school has two campuses, one in Austin, Texas and the other in Boulder, Colorado. The cooking academy has excellent facilities, with state-of-the-art kitchens, small cooking class sizes, and a great curriculum with focus given to the skills, techniques, and recipes developed by Escoffier.
Located in Chicago, Illinois, The French Pastry School focuses on baking and pastry arts. The pastry school offers both certificates and diplomas, with the curriculum including cooking classes in cake decorating and artisan baking. The culinary arts has an excellent career service, and is dedicated to help students find job placements.
